Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, will depart Abidjan on Sunday morning aboard ASKY Airlines following their impressive victory over Guinea in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The team is expected to travel through Lomé, Togo, before arriving in Lagos at approximately 5:15 p.m. Nigerian time.
Head coach Akeem Busari and his players will then head back to Ikenne, Ogun State, where preparations will continue for the crucial second leg against Guinea.
The Flamingos carry a commanding advantage into the return fixture after their dominant away performance, putting themselves in a strong position to progress in the qualification race for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
