Flamingos to face neighbours Niger at maiden WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup

Nigeria U-17 women’s national team has been drawn in Group B of the maiden West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-17 Girls Cup.
The 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalist will face neighbours, Niger Republic in Group B.
Bankole Olowookere’s side will also trade tackles with Cote D’Ivoire in the same group.
Group A houses host, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Benin Republic while Togo withdrew from the tournament.
From December 12 to 26, 2024, teams will jostle for the bragging rights of being crowned the first-ever winner of the WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) Technical Centre, Prampram is the venue of the competition.
Ghana, which also hosted the maiden WAFU U-20 Girls Cup a few years ago, emerged as Champions.
