Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have arrived in Cairo ahead of their third-place match against hosts Egypt at the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The team touched down in the Egyptian capital at approximately 5:00 p.m. local time on Friday and checked into the Guard Hotel.
They are expected to resume training on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s bronze medal encounter.
The Flying Eagles are looking to bounce back from a narrow 1-0 semifinal defeat to South Africa. Egypt, on their part, also lost 1-0 in their semifinal against Morocco, setting up a consolation battle between the two sides.
Nigeria, a record seven-time winner of the tournament, will be aiming to end their campaign on a high note and secure a place on the podium.
