Ighalo Scores Four Goals in Changchun Yatai's CSL Win

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo delivered a remarkable performance for Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League (CSL), netting four goals in their 5-2 away victory against Guizhou Hengfeng. reports that this win marks Changchun Yatai’s second victory of the season in the CSL.

Ighalo, who had not scored in his last three consecutive games, opened the scoring for Changchun Yatai in the 24th minute with a penalty kick. Despite Wei Du’s equalizer for Guizhou Hengfeng, Long Tan restored Changchun Yatai’s lead with a goal, making it 2-1.

The former Watford striker, Ighalo, extended the lead to 3-1 in the 38th minute, completing the first half with a commanding performance. In the second half, Fan Wang scored for Guizhou Hengfeng, reducing the deficit to 3-2 in the 60th minute.

Ighalo, undeterred, secured a hat-trick with his goal in the 86th minute, and he capped off an outstanding individual display by scoring his fourth goal in additional time of the second half. Changchun Yatai now sits in 10th place in the CSL table with eight points from seven games.

Ighalo’s goal-scoring prowess and impressive performance in this match contribute significantly to Changchun Yatai’s campaign in the Chinese Super League.
