Imoh Ezekiel Expresses Confidence in Las Palmas’ Survival Bid Amid La Liga Relegation Threat
Nigerian forward Imoh Ezekiel remains optimistic about Las Palmas’ chances of escaping relegation from the Spanish La Liga, as the team faces a challenging battle to secure their top-flight status. Currently occupying the 17th position in the LaLiga table with 21 points from 30 games, Las Palmas has struggled to find consistent form, enduring an eight-game winless streak.
Speaking with CSN, Ezekiel, who has seen limited playing time since his arrival at the club in January, expressed his belief that Las Palmas can turn the tide in their favor with eight crucial games remaining in the season. The Rio 2016 Olympics star emphasized the significance of their upcoming match against Levante on Sunday, labeling it as a “must-win game.”
“We know we have to start winning games, and our next match on Sunday against Levante is a must-win game,” Ezekiel stated, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation but maintaining an optimistic outlook, saying, “It’s difficult, but it’s possible.”
Having made four appearances for Las Palmas thus far, Ezekiel’s determination aligns with the team’s collective effort to secure vital points in the remaining fixtures. Las Palmas is set to face Levante, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Alaves, Espanyol, Getafe, Eibar, and Girona as they battle to avoid relegation from La Liga. The challenging road ahead underscores the urgency for Ezekiel and his teammates to deliver crucial performances in their bid for survival.
