LASK forward Moses Usor was pleased with his impact after scoring the winning goal in his side’s 4-2 victory over SV Ried in the Upper Austrian Derby at the BWT Oberosterreichische Arena.

The Nigeria international came on in the 61st minute, replacing Christoph Lang, before making the difference late in the match.

With the game approaching the end of regular time, Usor finished calmly from a fine assist by defender Kasper Poul Molgaard Jorgensen to put LASK ahead.

Speaking to Sky Sport Austria after the match, the former Slavia Prague forward said the derby had been a demanding contest for both teams.

“Yeah because it is a derby and derby games are always difficult and it is not easy playing a derby. It is always a difficult fight for both teams,” Usor said.

The 4-2 result completed a comeback for LASK, with Usor crediting the collective effort of his team-mates for securing the victory.

“It is a good goal from me. For the team work, it is a team job and we fight and comeback,” he added.

Usor said LASK’s determination had been central to their success, pointing to the team’s refusal to surrender during the match.

“It is just the team spirit, we never give up easily,” he concluded.

The forward will now turn his attention to international duty after being called up to the Super Eagles squad for Nigeria’s November double-header against Tanzania in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

His late contribution against SV Ried gives him an opportunity to carry his confidence into the Nigeria camp, where the Super Eagles will prepare for their upcoming qualifying fixtures.
