Nigerian midfielder Joel Obi gears up for a pivotal clash as Torino faces Crotone at the Olimpico di Torino in Serie A, eyeing his sixth league goal of the season after his recent standout performance in Torino’s 4-0 victory against Cagliari, as reported by Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN).

Obi, a key figure in Torino’s recent successes, anticipates his 20th appearance this season, aiming to replicate his goal-scoring form from the previous fixture.

The midfielder has been a prominent starter in 15 out of 19 Serie A games for Torino this term, expressing his aspirations ahead of the forthcoming match. “I hope to score, but that is if the chance comes my way,” Obi remarked to CSN, underlining his determination to contribute to his team’s success against Crotone.

Should Obi find the net against Crotone, it would mark the second occasion this season where he scores in consecutive Serie A games, mirroring his prior strikes against Sassuolo in a 1-1 draw and the subsequent 3-0 victory over Benevento, both occurring in January.
