Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has expressed his support for his national team colleague, Victor Osimhen, as the striker navigates a transfer saga with Napoli. Osimhen has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to potentially replace Kylian Mbappe, who recently joined Real Madrid.

Osimhen is keen on joining the French champions, having decided to leave Napoli this summer. However, recent developments suggest that the deal might fall through due to a disagreement between the clubs over the player’s valuation.

Okoye, currently playing for Serie A side Udinese, remains optimistic that Osimhen will make the right decision. In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, he shared his confidence in Osimhen’s ability to navigate his career choices wisely.

“Yes, we know each other very well, we talk every now and then, I spoke to him two weeks ago,” Okoye said. “PSG? I can’t talk about it (laughs). I clearly wish him the best; he will choose and find his way.”

Okoye’s comments reflect the camaraderie and mutual support among the Super Eagles players, as they navigate their professional careers in Europe.
