NPFL: Niger Tornadoes to miss three key players ahead of Ikorodu City clash

By Wale Mustapha

Niger Tornadoes will be without three key players when they face high-flying Ikorodu City in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 33 fixture.

Victor Okoro and Ifeanyi Okechukwu have been ruled out due to injuries, while Papa Daniel will miss the match through illness, the club confirmed.

Head coach Majin Mohammed is expected to turn to his bench for suitable replacements.

The Tornadoes were held to a goalless draw by Ikorodu City in the first-leg encounter earlier in the season.

Their opponents come into the match in red-hot form, having thrashed Katsina United 6-0 in a rescheduled Matchday 31 fixture.

Niger Tornadoes sit 11th on the NPFL table with 43 points, while Ikorodu City are in fourth place on 49 points as the season heads into its final stretch.
