NPFL: Mohammed Hussaini confident as Niger Tornadoes aim to upset Ikorodu City

By Wale Mustapha

Defender Mohammed Hussaini believes Niger Tornadoes can secure a positive result when they face Ikorodu City in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 33 encounter on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys will travel to Lagos to take on the in-form Oga Boys at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season ended in a goalless draw in Minna, and Hussaini is optimistic that his team can go one better this time around.

“We’re not bad travelers. Ikorodu City came to Minna and got a draw, so nothing stops us from going to Lagos and getting a good result,” Hussaini told the club’s media.

He expressed confidence in the quality and determination of his teammates under head coach Majin Mohammed, saying the squad has what it takes to trouble their opponents, even away from home.

“With the spirit of my teammates, I’m confident we’ll achieve a positive outcome on Sunday,” he added.

Niger Tornadoes currently sit 11th on the NPFL table, while Ikorodu City are fourth, coming off a dominant 6–0 win over Katsina United.
