NPFL: Tunde Sanni relieved as Kwara United edge past Nasarawa United

Kwara United Technical Adviser, Tunde Sanni, expressed relief after his side secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash on Wednesday.
Despite not being at their best, the Harmony Boys managed to secure all three points thanks to Abayomi Junior’s goal in the 64th minute.
The result provided a much-needed response for Kwara United, who had suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Akwa United in their previous match.
Sanni, while admitting that his team didn’t play to their full potential, was pleased with the win.
“We are happy that we won today, regardless of how we played. It’s definitely better than last week’s result,” Sanni told reporters after the game in Ilorin.
“We missed a lot of chances, and I believe if it were the opponents with those opportunities, they would have scored,” he added.
Kwara United will next face Plateau United in another North Central derby, with the clash set to take place in Jos.
