Rangnick: Man United ‘need couple of strikers’ this summer
Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick insists the club needs to bring ‘a couple of strikers’ in the summer.
Speaking after United’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Thursday night, Rangnick admitted the Red Devils have become reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the leveler at Old Trafford. The Portuguese was once again on the scoresheet, netting his eighth striker in United’s last nine Premier League goals.
“Yes right now we very much rely on Cristiano,” Rangnick said.
“He also showed a good performance when Chelsea were in possession, he helped out a lot in the second half defensively.”
“There has to be a focus on bringing in a couple of new strikers, this is for sure.”
