EPL: Manchester United Legend to coach Wilfred Ndidi at Leicester City

By Wale Mustapha

Ruud van Nistelrooy, the former Manchester United striker, has been appointed as the new manager of Leicester City.

Van Nistelrooy replaces Steve Cooper, who was dismissed after just 12 Premier League games in charge.

The Dutchman has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club, and his primary objective is to help steer Leicester City clear of the relegation zone. The team currently sits in 16th place, just one point above safety.

Van Nistelrooy will have the opportunity to work with Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi, who has been one of Leicester’s standout players since joining in 2017.

The Super Eagles midfielder, known for his tough tackling and dynamic presence in midfield, will likely benefit from Van Nistelrooy’s extensive top-flight experience as the club looks to climb the table.

In addition to Ndidi, Van Nistelrooy will also oversee another Nigerian-born player, Caleb Okoli, who joined Leicester earlier this season.

The new manager’s arrival signals an exciting new chapter for the club and its Nigerian players as they look to secure Premier League survival and push for greater success.
