Premier League giants Manchester City and Liverpool are both preparing lucrative offers to secure the services of Nigeria and Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Aina, who is in the final months of his contract with Forest, has yet to sign an extension despite ongoing talks between his representatives and the club, potentially making him a free agent by next summer.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City are closely monitoring the situation, according to reports from TBR Football.
The 28-year-old full-back has impressed since joining Forest on a free transfer two years ago, establishing himself as one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
Aina recently marked his 50th Premier League appearance in Forest’s 1-0 win over Manchester City last weekend.
Liverpool are reportedly considering Aina as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are keen to bring in Aina as a potential successor to Kyle Walker, who is expected to complete a permanent transfer to AC Milan.
