Schalke 04 Sign Austrian Forward Junior Adamu on Long-Term Deal

German side FC Schalke 04 have boosted their attacking ranks with the signing of Austrian international Junior Adamu from SC Freiburg.

The 25-year-old striker has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the Veltins-Arena until June 30, 2029, as Schalke continue preparations for the upcoming season.

Adamu joins the Royal Blues with a wealth of experience at both club and international level. The versatile forward has made nine appearances for the Austrian national team and is expected to bring pace, energy, and versatility to Schalke’s attack.

The forward spent the second half of last season on loan with Scottish champions Celtic, where he played an important role in a successful campaign. During his time in Glasgow, Adamu helped Celtic secure both the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup, adding more silverware to his career.

Schalke will be hoping Adamu’s quality, experience, and winning mentality can make a significant impact as the club targets a strong campaign in the season ahead.
