Nigeria’s Super Falcons assistant coach and former Nigeria international defender Ayisat Yusuf Aromire has announced a new coaching appointment with Finnish club HJK Helsinki.
Aromire will take charge of the club’s P16/17 team, marking a new chapter in her coaching career with one of Finland’s most successful football clubs.
The former defender expressed excitement about the opportunity, describing it as a fresh challenge that would provide room for professional growth, greater responsibility and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the development of young players.
“I am excited to embrace this new chapter with HJK Helsinki Football Club in Helsinki, one of Finland’s most successful football clubs, as Head Coach of P16/17,” she said.
“Every opportunity comes with new challenges, greater responsibilities, and another chance to grow, inspire, and make a meaningful impact.”
Despite taking up the new role in Finland, Aromire reaffirmed her commitment to her responsibilities with Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons.
“As I take on this new role, I remain fully committed to my national duties with the Nigerian Super Falcons, continuing to serve my country with pride, dedication, and passion,” she added.
She further explained that her coaching journey is driven by purpose, continuous development and the desire to make a difference at both club and international levels.
“For me, it is all about purpose, growth, and making a difference wherever football takes me.
“I look forward to the journey ahead, the lessons, the challenges, and the opportunities to contribute to the beautiful game both at club and international levels.
“Different responsibilities, one passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Dream Bigger. Score Bigger,” she stated.
Aromire’s appointment adds a new dimension to her coaching career while she continues to contribute to the technical set-up of the Super Falcons.
