“They are unfair”- Ex-Fenerbahçe star criticizes Osimhen-Icardi partnership at Gala

Retired Fenerbahçe defender Abdullah Ercan has voiced concerns about the impact of Galatasaray’s striking duo, Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi, on the Turkish Super Lig.
Ercan believes that having both players in the same team gives Galatasaray an unfair advantage over other clubs in the league.
Osimhen recently joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli after unsuccessful moves to Chelsea and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli.
The Super Eagles forward and Icardi have been in impressive form this season, contributing a combined total of eight goals and six assists.
Ercan remarked, “Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray create an unfair competition for the Super Lig. Their presence elevates the team’s status and makes them favorites for all titles.”
In contrast, Osimhen has downplayed any rivalry with Icardi and Michy Batshuayi, emphasizing the collaborative spirit within the squad.
The 25-year-old striker stated, “I have things to learn from both of them. We will improve each other’s quality in the team.”
As the season progresses, Galatasaray looks poised to challenge for multiple titles, bolstered by their formidable attacking partnership.
