“To assist and score goals”- Elijah Akanni sets target as Enyimba host Katsina United

Enyimba FC midfielder Elijah Akanni has vowed to deliver an exciting performance when the People’s Elephants face Katsina United on Sunday in their Matchday Five Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash in Aba.

The talented playmaker assured fans that he and his teammates are fully prepared for the must-win encounter, promising to give their best on the pitch.

“It’s a home game, and we’ve worked really hard in training to prepare for this match,” Akanni said in an interview with BSN Sports.

“My expectation is that we will win tomorrow, and I’m confident that myself and the team will make that happen to keep a smile on the faces of the People’s Elephants.”

Akanni, a former MFM FC player, also guaranteed fans an all-out effort, saying, “They should expect everything from me. I will do what I always do—create chances, assist, and score goals.”
