Transfer News: Enugu Rangers beat Enyimba to Nenrot Silas’ signature

Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enugu Rangers have successfully signed experienced midfielder Nenrot Silas, according to Nigeriafootball.ng.

The 22-year-old Silas became a free agent after parting ways with Plateau United at the end of last season, attracting interest from several NPFL clubs, including Enyimba and Remo Stars. There were also earlier reports linking him to a move abroad.

Ultimately, Rangers secured the signing of the talented attacking midfielder, who has inked a contract for the upcoming season. Silas scored six goals for Plateau United during the 2023-24 campaign.

He will reunite with Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, under whom he previously played at Plateau United two seasons ago. This partnership could prove pivotal as Rangers aim to defend their title.
