Friendly: Flying Eagles pip Water FC in first pre-WAFU-B Cup tune-up game

Nigeria’s U20 national men’s team, secured a narrow victory over Water FC of Abuja, winning by a lone goal in their first training match on Wednesday.

The decisive goal was scored by Bayelsa United striker Rabiu Abdullahi.

Under the guidance of newly appointed head coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Flying Eagles, are ramping up preparations for the WAFU B U-20 Championship, set to take place in Lomé, Togo, later this year.

The Flying Eagles began their training camp in Abuja last Thursday.

The WAFU Championship will determine which team represents the zone at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, making their preparation crucial for future success.
