Victor Boniface undergoes successful surgery after pre-mature Afcon 2023 exit

Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface has successfully undergone a surgery to an injury which has kept him out of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
The Nigeria forward has been scheduled to start rehabilitation immediately after the surgery to fast track his recovery as the German Bundesliga outfit said Boniface had a successful operation in Berlin.
“Victor #Boniface was successfully operated on today in Berlin,” Leverkusen was quoted by X.
“The striker will return to Leverkusen later this week to start his rehabilitation process.”
Following the injury sustained by Boniface on international duty, France based striker, Terem Moffi was called up to his replacement.
Nigeria will begin their AFCON journey against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14 before taking on Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau.
