Victor Boniface wins Bundesliga Rookie of the Month the third time

Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface has once again scored a hat trick but this time it is off the pitch as he is voted Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for October.
Winning the award for the third time in a row, Boniface swept away a challenge from RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Mainz 05’s Brajan Grud.
The Nigerian international netted on matchday 7, in the month in review, against Cologne, and assisted another for Bayer against Wolfsburg.
The 22-year-old after a blistering start to life at Bayer Leverkusen was named the Rookie and Player of the Month for August before he lifted the Rookie of the Month again in September.
According to the Bundesliga website, the former Union SG star had a league-high 15 attempts on goal in October, which took his total to 54 so far on the season, ahead of top scorer Harry Kane’s 36.
The striker joined Leverkusen from Belgian club, Royale Union Saint Gilloloise in the summer and has been instrumental in their excellent start to the season.
He has scored eleven goals already this season and will take the October Rookie of the Month award as another recognition of his achievements with Xavi Alonso’s men who sit top of the German Bundesliga standing.
