Nasarawa Amazons and Heartland Queens will battle for the 2026 President Federation Cup title when they meet in Saturday’s final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
Nasarawa Amazons are making their second consecutive appearance in the competition’s final after suffering defeat to Rivers Angels in last year’s decider in Lagos. The Lafia-based side will be eager to make amends and finally reclaim the trophy.
The Solid Babes have also endured near misses in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership over the past two seasons to Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens respectively.
For Heartland Queens, the final marks a historic milestone as they reach the President Federation Cup final for the first time. Coached by Obi Ogbala, the Owerri club is aiming to become the first team from Nigeria’s South-East region to lift the prestigious trophy.
Having already broken new ground by reaching the final, Heartland Queens now have the opportunity to crown their remarkable campaign with a landmark victory.
The two sides have shared honours in recent meetings. Two seasons ago, Nasarawa Amazons claimed a 2-0 home victory, while Heartland Queens responded with a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture in Owerri, setting the stage for what promises to be a closely contested final.
