Victor Osimhen excited to join Galatasaray on season-long loan

Victor Osimhen has expressed his excitement about joining Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray on a season-long loan, following a summer filled with transfer speculation.

The 25-year-old Nigerian international has been a standout striker in European football, notably winning the Serie A Golden Boot during Napoli’s triumphant 2022/23 season, which marked their first Scudetto in 33 years.

Despite attracting interest from high-profile clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, none were able to meet his €130 million release clause, leading to a move to Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s transfer was further complicated by his exclusion from Antonio Conte’s squad and ongoing rumors throughout the transfer window.

Having scored 15 league goals last season, albeit while struggling with injuries, Osimhen is eager to return to his prolific form and contribute significantly to his new club.
