Willian’s Premier League return excites John Obi Mikel

Former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has expressed his excitement at seeing his former teammate Willian return to the Premier League, where he will once again play alongside Nigerian stars.

The former Chelsea midfielder, along with thousands of Instagram users, showed support for Willian’s move to Fulham by liking the club’s announcement post on Thursday.

The Brazilian winger, a two-time Premier League winner, returned to Fulham during the January transfer window after previously playing for the club.

With over 300 Premier League appearances to his name, Willian brings a wealth of experience to the Cottagers as they look to secure a spot in European competition next season.

Having previously played for top clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Fulham, Willian will now reunite with Alex Iwobi, with whom he shared the pitch during his first stint at Fulham.

Mikel Obi, who spent several successful years alongside Willian at Chelsea, is confident that the Brazilian will be a major asset to Fulham’s offensive play.

“Willian’s return to Fulham offers the team a chance to bolster their attacking options with a player who is not only experienced but also highly decorated in English football,” Mikel said.

With Willian’s pedigree and leadership, Mikel believes the winger will play a key role in Fulham’s pursuit of European qualification this season.
