2024 National Sports Festival: Team Osun thrash Benue to seal semi-final berth in female football

Team Osun thrashed their counterpart from Benue State 6-1 to make it two wins from their two games, sealing a place in the semi-final of female football at the 2024 National Sports Festival.

A brace from Asha Omolola lifted the Osun female football team to a comfortable win.

Doyin Adepoju scored the first goal of the match in the second minute of play.

Robiat Taofeek doubled the lead in the 13th minute to ensure that the first half ended in that manner.

Four more goals followed for Team Osun in the second half.

Victory Odanlumen started the second-half goal spree while Omolola added two goals.

Rukayat Ariyo also converted a goal for the Osun State female team.

Team Osun’s opponents in the semi-final of the 2024 Gateway Games will be confirmed at the end of the group stage.
