NPFL: Duke Osimaga tags Shooting Stars’ clash ‘a must win’ for Sunshine Stars

Sunshine Stars midfielder Duke Osimage has described his side’s Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Southwest derby against Shooting Stars as a must win.

The two clubs with identical last names will take to tango for the Matchday 12 encounter in Akure on Wednesday with a victory looking elusive for  both sides.

Osimage, who is anticipating a difficult match said a win for the Owena Whales will boost the team’s spirit and chances to challenge for the title which he describes as opened for any club.

“It’s a winning game and a must win game for us. We are not going to joke with the game because winning will take us to ninth or sixth position in the league table,”

“The game is important for Sunshine Stars. We need the points, the management need the points and the fans need the points. Winning the match will take us out of the 13th position.

“We are still looking out for a continental ticket because the league is still open for everybody.  You can see Kano Pillars won away. One away win for Sunshine Stars will take us to fourth position.

“After this match we are going to Bendel Insurance and a win for us in Benin will take us to the fourth or third position in the league. We are coming all out in the game.”
