Victor Boniface on target as Bayer Leverkusen reach German Cup quarterfinal

Nigeria international, Victor Boniface was on target once again as Bayer Leverkusen in their 3-1 win over Paderborn in the round of 16 of the German Cup.
Boniface opened the scoring at the BayArena to put Die Werkself ahead against the Second Division side after connecting to a cross from Josip Stanisic.
The goal was the third in the last three matches for the three-time Rookie of the Month winner to continue his brilliant campaign at Leverkusen.
Exequiel Palacios scored the second for the home side to take the lead at halftime.
Sebastian Klaas pulled one back for Parderborn but Patrik Schick who replaced Boniface on the 75th minute went on to seal the win and Bayer Leverkusen’s place in the quarterfinal of the German Cup.
The Super Eagles star who was on the pitch for 75 minutes, attempted two shots, and created one chance but had two assists chalked off for offside before he was substituted.
The striker joined Leverkusen from Belgian club, Royale Union Saint Gilloloise in the summer and has been instrumental in their excellent start to the season across all competitions.
