Nigeria International, Alex Iwobi scored twice as Fulham thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the Premier League Wednesday night.
It was a Super Eagles affair as the game had three Nigerian national team players on display – Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey for Fulham, while Ola Aina was in the red and white of Nottingham Forest while Taiwo Awoniyi was absent as he was ruled out due to injury.
It took the Nigerian playmaker just 30 minutes to opened the floodgates beating the offside trap to tuck in a cross from former Chelsea man Willian.
Four minutes later, Raul Jimenez doubled the advantage before registering his brace for the night with Fulham’s third goal after he outmuscled Super Eagles defender Ola Aina before rounding Vlachodimos in post.
Iwobi added another with just 16 minutes of regular time to go to make it three goals since joing the Londoners from Everton.
Tom Cairney wrapped up proceedings with the fifth to see Fulham rise to 12th on the log.
It was the first time since 1966 that Fulham would score three or more goals in three back-to-back Premier League games.
