NWFL: Whyte upbeat about Rivers Angels’ playoffs finish after Sunshine Stars win

Ogbonda Whyte, Technical Adviser of Rivers Angels insists his team is in good stead to secure a spot in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership title playoffs.
Whyte reiterated his side’s ambitions on Wednesday in Port Harcourt after leading his team to a commanding 3-0 win over Sunshine Queens in the Matchday Four encounter.
A second brace from Adugbe Olamide and a contender for goal of the season finish from Okpe Blessing handed the hosts a place at the top of the group.
Whyte described his girls performance as perfect response to their last week’s defeat to Delta Queens and will be working towards building on it.
“I’m glad and happy as a coach to see my team winning this game and its a good feeling to win by 3-0 against Sunshine Stars,” the former Confluence Queens gaffer told media.
“Its a boost to our target to qualify for the Super Six and from there to try and represent Nigeria at CAF tournament.”
Up next for Rivers Angels is top of the table clash against Bayelsa Queens in Yenagoa and Whyte is looking forward to good match and a win for his side.
