NWFL: Sabo Okala reflects on Confluence Queens’ comprehensive win over Abia Angels

Technical Adviser of Confluence Queens, Sabo Okala has attributed his side’s convincing 2-0 win over Abia Angels to utilizing their scoring opportunities.
The Lokoja based side were clinical with their early efforts that earned them a victory in the Matchday Five of Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL encounter decided in Iyahmo, Edo State on Wednesday.
Two first goals from Faheezat Feranmi and Mary Mamudu were enough to send Confluence Queens to top of Group A log after the week’s fixtures.
Coach Okala who praised his players for their dedication and aggressive approach to take an early lead said there much to be done on the team.
“It was a good performance and credit to the girls for it especially for the way they approached the match,” Okala told nigeriafootball.ng in Iyahmo.
“We played with confidence and with poise, goalkeeper Echefu Silvia was incredible, the defending was incredible, and the finishing were superb as you know football is all about taking chances, but still need to work more on it to make others count.”
Confluence Queens are yet to concede a goal after five games and have garnered more points than any other side after five weeks of the league.
They will be taking on Nasarawa Amazons in all North Central affairs next Wednesday in Lafia for the Matchday Six encounter.
