The Confédération Africaine de Football has officially announced that Senegal will host the 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations following approval by the CAF Executive Committee.
The decision highlights CAF’s confidence in Senegal’s ability to organise world-class sporting events and recognises the country’s significant contribution to the growth and development of beach soccer across Africa.
Senegal remains the most successful nation in the history of the competition, having won the tournament a record five times. The West Africans are also the reigning champions after lifting the 2024 title in Egypt, extending their dominance with a fifth consecutive triumph.
The 2026 tournament will once again feature eight of Africa’s top beach soccer nations competing for continental glory, with qualification for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup serving as one of the major incentives.
Senegal previously hosted the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 and is expected to use their experience to stage another successful edition of the tournament.
