Nigeria international Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named in the Women’s Super League Team of the Season, according to WhoScored.com, following a remarkable debut campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion Women.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper, who joined Brighton from Paris FC last summer, kept six clean sheets as the Seagulls secured a seventh-place finish in the league.
Manchester City Women dominated the Team of the Season with six players included: Kerstin Casparij, Alex Greenwood, Vivianne Miedema, Kerolin, Lauren Hemp, and Khadija Shaw. The remaining spots went to Millie Bright, Lynn Wilms, Mariona Caldentey, and Alessia Russo. Arsenal contributed two players, while Brighton, Aston Villa, and Chelsea Women each had one representative.
Nnadozie earned her place in the team after recording an impressive average rating of 6.87 over 19 WSL appearances. The 25-year-old goalkeeper prevented an average of 3.7 goals per game, made 44 saves from inside the box and 18 from outside, while conceding just 21 goals.
Looking ahead, Nnadozie aims to win her first major trophy with Brighton when they face Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley on May 31.
