AFCON 2023: Fans blast Peruzzi for Shawarma remarks on Alhassan Yusuf

Nigerian musician Tobechukwu Victor Okoh known as “Peruzzi” was not impressed by the performance Alhassan Yusuf, who was drafted in to replace injured Wilfred Ndidi.
The Kano-born midfielder plays for Belgian First Division A club Royal Antwerp and was considered one of the best on the pitch by football fans before his knock that saw him stretchered off.
Although Zaidu Sanusi missed an easy goal, and Osimhen missed some clear chances, it was Alhassan that caught the negative attention of the singer after Equatorial Guinea forced the Super Eagles to a 1-1draw.
However, Peruzzi believes that the player should be a Shawarma seller.
“This Yusus wey suppose dey sell Shawarma. Smh,” he posted on X.
Nigerian football fans rushed to the replies to defend Yusuf based and blast the singer for his failure to call out Osimhen.
“Are you m*d or what? Yusuf wey dem suppose give man of the match,” MhorreRiches replied.
Another user @waspapping respomde; “Meanwhile, Onyeka wey suppose dey hawk gala for traffic is on the same pitch. Smh.”
@baba__233 added “Osimhen wey una dry praise see two sitters he don miss am. Werey.”
