CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United land in Luanda, Angola ahead of Lobito clash

Nigeria’s last representative at the African continental football tournament, Rivers United have landed in Luanda, Angola for their Matchday Five of CAF Confederation Cup against Academica Petroleos Club, APC of Lobito on Sunday.

The Pride of Port Harcourt side touched down in Luanda in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They came through Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos aboard TAAG Angola Airline.

The match is slated for 5pm Nigerian time on Sunday.

Rivers United won the reverse fixture by 3-0 and will require similar result to stand a good chance of securing passage to the quarterfinal of the competition.
