NPFL: Katsina United to miss Akinmoladun, Ibe services against Heartland
Katsina United will face a challenge in their upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash against Heartland, as they will be without Sunday Akinmoladun and Micheal Ibe for the Matchday 24 fixture.
Abubakar Bala, the Technical Adviser of Katsina United, revealed that Akinmoladun will serve a three-match suspension following his red card in their previous encounter against Kwara United. Additionally, Ibe will be absent from the squad due to accumulated yellow cards.
Bala expressed the importance of both players to the team but emphasized their readiness to cope with their absence.
“We will make do with other players in the team because we signed them for moments like this. The team will work very hard to ensure that we win the match,” he noted.
Katsina United, currently occupying the seventh position on the NPFL table with 34 points from 23 matches, will aim to bounce back to winning ways after their defeat to Lobi Stars in their previous outing.
The Chanji Boys will host the Naze Millionaires at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium, seeking a positive result to boost their position in the league standings.
