Samson Siasia names Chinedu Ogbuke as most outstanding player ever coached

Former Nigeria head coach, Samson Siasia, has identified the most outstanding player he has ever managed during his coaching career with the national teams.
Siasia, who has been coaching Nigeria’s national teams since 2005, highlighted the exceptional talent of Chinedu Ogbuke, a player he described as a “magician” on the field.
Ogbuke rose through the ranks, starting with the U20 team, where he caught the attention of Siasia during the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship, where Nigeria finished runners-up.
Later, Ogbuke earned a spot in the senior national team and went on to play for top European clubs like Hoffenheim and Schalke 04.
Siasia was asked to name the standout talent from his coaching career.
Without hesitation, Siasia mentioned Ogbuke as the most outstanding player he has managed.
“It would be Chinedu Ogbuke. Oh, that lad,” he said in an exclusive interview with Athlst.
“Have you seen Chinedu play ball? No, you haven’t. He is a magician. Even me, I appreciate the boy with what he does during training. And to do it in a match also, I salute him.
“Well, I’m the one that is telling you this because I’ve been with them. You are looking from a distance. I’m always with these people.”
