2024 President Federation Cup: NWFL Premiership quartet book semi-final places

Remo Stars Ladies, Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, and Naija Ratels FC are through to the semi-final of the 2024 President Federation Cup after the quarter-final triumphs on Wednesday.

Remo Stars Ladies which is making their debut appearance in the former Nigeria Women’s FA Cup made it to the semi-final after a 3-2 win against Nasarawa Amazons on penalties.

Regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw as Oluwaseyi Arubo canceled out Josephine Mathias’ early opener.

Five-star Rivers Angels continued their impressive run in the Cup after narrowly missing out on the league title last month with a resounding 5-0 thrashing of second-tier side, Osun Babes.

Blessing Okpe scored a hat-trick coupled with a brace from Olamide Adugbe propelled the Jewels of Rivers to the semi-final.

Elsewhere, Naija Ratels edged out FC Robo Queens 5-4 on penalties after playing out a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.

Delta Queens also made it to the last four with a 2-0 win over Sunshine Queens.

Delta Queens will face Rivers Angels in the semi-final while Remo Stars Ladies square up against Naija Ratels FC in the second last-four clash.
