With just one group game remaining, Osun Babes’ head coach, Wole Animashahun, is optimistic about his team’s promotion to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

Currently, Osun Babes leads the NWFL Championship in scoring with an impressive 16 goals and remains undefeated and unscored upon in their three matches so far.

Animashahun acknowledges the challenges faced but emphasizes that the team’s consistent scoring and solid performances are crucial to their success. He expressed confidence that the hard work of his players is paying off on the pitch.

“We understand that success doesn’t come easily,” Animashahun told nigeriafootball.ng in an exclusive interview. “Our players have been putting in the effort, and their scoring ability has made our work count. It’s also a testament to our faith and the support we’ve received.”

Despite the threat posed by Gallant Queens, Animashahun remains confident. “We’ve analyzed Gallant Queens and are preparing accordingly. I believe in our preparation and our ability to succeed,” he said.

He remained cautious yet hopeful, stating, “I can’t predict the future, but we are diligently preparing for the upcoming match. We trust in our preparation and believe that God will guide us to victory. Our goal is clear: promotion to the Premiership.”

As the final group game approaches, the anticipation builds around whether Osun Babes can secure their place in the NWFL Premiership.
