Ahmed Musa offers support to Victor Osimhen following Chelsea move fallout

By Monsurah Olatunji
Ahmed Musa extended words of encouragement to Victor Osimhen after the Nigerian striker’s anticipated transfer to Chelsea fell through on transfer deadline day.
Musa, the Super Eagles captain, praised Osimhen as a “fighter” and urged him to stay focused on his goals despite the setbacks.
Osimhen, who was highly sought after, faced a challenging transfer window as no top European club met his substantial release clause, estimated between €120 million and €130 million.
Although a move to Chelsea seemed imminent, with the Blues reportedly interested in a loan deal with a reduced wage package, Osimhen ultimately joined Turkish club Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
Musa took to social media to offer his support, emphasizing Osimhen’s resilience and the journey they both share.
“I know you to be a fighter 💪💪 We all came from having almost nothing to becoming who we are today,” Musa posted. “Eyes on the prize, focus on your end goal. I believe in you champ. 🤝🤝 @victorosimhen9❤️”
Musa’s message underscores the solidarity among Nigerian footballers and serves as a morale boost for Osimhen as he begins his new chapter at Galatasaray.
