By Saheed Afolabi

Lazio manager Marco Baroni has praised Nigeria international Fisayo Dele-Bashiru for his outstanding contributions to the club’s success in Italy, following the Super Eagles playmaker’s first goal in the 3-0 victory over Bologna on Sunday.

Baroni lauded Dele-Bashiru’s strength, ball control, and ability to evade defenders, highlighting his all-around qualities as a midfielder.

“Dele has a lot of energy. He is a midfielder who can play all over the pitch. He has quality, energy, and physical strength and is a player who is growing. I see him during training; he will be an important player for us,” Baroni said, according to Fanta Calcio.

The Nigerian international has quickly become a key player for Lazio, with Baroni noting that he is a complete midfielder with the rare qualities needed to excel at the highest level.

Dele-Bashiru’s versatility and dynamic presence in midfield have been crucial for Lazio, who currently sit fifth in Serie A with 28 points from 13 matches.

Lazio will next face Ludogorets in the UEFA Europa League at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday night.
