Kabiru Dogo urges patience as Niger Tornadoes begin major NPFL rebuilding
Newly appointed Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes FC, Coach Kabiru Suleiman Dogo, has called on the club’s supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team as it undergoes a comprehensive rebuilding process ahead of the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
With the departure of several key members of last season’s squad, Dogo has been tasked with assembling a new-look team capable of competing at the highest level. Speaking during a training session at the Niger State Sports Commission Football Pitch in Minna, the experienced coach admitted that rebuilding a team is a demanding process but expressed confidence that the exercise would produce a stronger anduri-based club to Federation Cup success, said the technical crew is working diligently to identify quality players with the talent, discipline more competitive Niger Tornadoes side.

“We are entering a new era at Niger Tornadoes because most of the players from last season have moved on to other clubs. That means we are rebuilding almost from scratch, which is a huge responsibility for me and my technical crew. It won’t be easy, but we are determined to build a formidable team that our supporters will be proud of.
“I want to assure our fans that we will get it right. What we need from them is patience, understanding and unwavering support as we work towards achieving our objectives,” Dogo said.
The experienced tactician emphasized that the success of the rebuilding project will depend on the collective efforts of the club’s management, players, technical crew, supporters and other stakeholders. He expressed optimism that with unity, hard work and continued encouragement from the fans, Niger Tornadoes can re-establish themselves as strong contenders in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
