Ademola Lookman’s header secures victory for Atalanta over AC Milan

Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman scored the match winner as Atalanta edged AC Milan 2-1 with a late goal in Italian Serie A encounter on Friday.
Charles De Ketelaere opened scoring for the host in the 12th minute at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.
The lead lasted for 10 minutes before Rafael Leao set up Alvaro Morata who leveled the scoreline.
With the match set for a draw, Lookman rose highest to head home the winner in the 87th minute.
He scored after a well executed corner kick. The former Everton player rose highest and planted a powerful header beyond the goalkeeper inside the left post.
The goal was his eight in the league after 12 games. He has also provided four assists so far in the league this season.
After 90 minutes, the 2024 CAF Player of the and FIFA Best attacker nominee was replaced by Marco Brescianini.
He compatriot, Samuel Chukwueze also came in for Yunus Musah in the 90th minute for AC Milan.
The result pushed Atalanta to the top of the table with 34 points after 15 games, two point ahead of Napoli which has an outstanding match.
AC Milan occupy the seventh position on the log with 22 points from 14 games.
They will face Crvena Zvezda in the UEFA Champions League on December 11.
A day earlier, Atalanta and Real Madrid will also face off in the Champions League.
