CHAN: Victor Ikpeba demands victory from Super Eagles against Ghana

By Saheed Afolabi

Nigeria football legend, Victor Ikpeba, has called on the home-based Super Eagles to prioritize a win against Ghana in the second leg of the CHAN Championship.

The first leg ended in a hard-fought draw, and the Super Eagles will now host Ghana in Uyo, hoping to secure a victory on home soil.

Ikpeba expressed confidence in the squad but warned against complacency, urging the players to give their best performance.

He reminded the team of the painful memory of how Ghana prevented Nigeria from qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, highlighting the importance of the upcoming match.

“The CHAN Eagles must fight because this is one game that Ghana does not want to lose,” Ikpeba was quoted by SuperSport TV.

“We all remember what happened with the Super Eagles with the same Ghana for the 2022 World Cup.”
