Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda will use the tournament to test-run facilities ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be co-hosted by the three nations.

The 8th edition of the African Nations Championship will feature 18 countries.

They are joint-hosts Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, Nigeria, Morocco, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Niger Republic, Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Angola and Madagascar.

Nigeria is making a return to the tournament for the first time since 2018 when the team reached the final in Morocco.

This year’s edition will be Super Eagles B team’s fourth appearance after previously making it to the 2014, 2016, and 2018 editions.
