By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Dissatisfied Delta Queens coach, Peter Dedevbo says his team is in the race for the season ending Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six.

The former league winners suffered a 1-0 loss to Ibom Angels with a late strike from Abasiofon Uwah.

Despite the setback, the former head coach of Nigeria U-20 national is confident that his team is still in the title race.

“We are still in the race. There is no problem but what we saw was very bad. When they came to Delta, we scored clean goal 20 minute to the ene of the match. They knew,” Says Dedevbo after the game.

“We had a penalty and they scored an offside goal. This was suppose to be fairly league match. Is it war?

“We will plan for the next game against Bayelsa Queens.”

Tied on 10 points with Ibom Angels in fourth position behind Naija Ratels which has 13 points in Group B after eight games, Delta Queens welcome Bayelsa Queens in South South derby next week.

Three teams from Group A and B will qualify for the Super Six where the champions will emerge.
