Katsina United Technical Adviser, Azeez Audu, has praised his players following their dominant 3-0 victory over Elkanemi Warriors on Sunday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Changi Boys delivered a clinical performance in the Matchday 30 clash, with goals from Moses Achare, Bello Lukman, and Toafeek Ahmed securing a commanding win at home.
Audu commended his players for sticking to their pre-match strategy, which led to the comprehensive result.
However, he cautioned his team to keep their celebrations short and maintain focus on their next fixture as they continue their battle to retain their NPFL status.
“I am very happy with the result. If we continue like this, no team can stop us,” Audu said told media.
“My sincere appreciation goes to our fans, who stood under the hot sun to support us. Despite fasting, they cheered us on. They are, without a doubt, the best fans in the country.”
The coach urged his players to remain focused and not rest on their laurels, with preparations already underway for their upcoming match.
“We will not rest as we prepare for our next match and the remaining fixtures,” he added.
With the win, Katsina United moved up to 12th on the NPFL table, amassing 39 points from 30 matches.
Their next challenge comes against Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
