Plateau United have officially kicked off preparations for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with their first training session held on Friday at the New Jos Stadium.
The session was overseen by the club’s newly appointed head coach, Shola Adegun, who joined from Nigeria National League (NNL) side Sporting Lagos last month.
Adegun takes charge of the Peace Boys as they enter a rebuilding phase following a seventh-place finish in the 2024/25 NPFL campaign.
The Jos-based team is yet to name a new technical adviser after the dismissal of Mbwas Magnut at the end of last season.
The preseason kickoff also marks the beginning of a new era under a restructured management team recently appointed by the Plateau State Government.
With several changes expected both on and off the pitch, Plateau United are aiming to improve on last season’s mid-table finish and mount a stronger challenge in the upcoming league campaign.
