Super Falcons Complete Preparations for Senegal Friendly in Ikenne

Nigeria’s senior women’s national team  have concluded their preparations for Friday’s international friendly against Senegal after holding their final training session at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

All 23 invited players participated in Thursday evening’s workout, as head coach and his technical crew fine-tuned strategies ahead of the highly anticipated encounter.

Among those involved in the session were captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Toni Payne, Jennifer Echegini, Christy Ucheibe, Francisca Ordega, Omorinsola Babajide, Gift Monday, Tosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna, and Rofiat Imuran, alongside several emerging talents in the squad.

The 10-time African champions looked sharp and focused throughout the training, going through tactical drills, finishing exercises, and set-piece routines as preparations reached their final stage.

With a blend of experienced internationals and promising young players, the Super Falcons will be looking to deliver a strong performance against the Teranga Lionesses as they continue their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The friendly is expected to provide another valuable opportunity for the coaching staff to assess player combinations, strengthen team chemistry, and further refine the squad’s tactical approach ahead of future competitions.
