DreamStar Ladies seal promotion to NWFL Championship

DreamStar Ladies became the first team to seal promotion to the second tier Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship
The Lagos based side confirmed their immediate return to the NWFL Championship after a 0-0 draw with Rangers Women at the end of Matchday Four in Abuja on Thursday.
Both teams, who came into the encounter with unbeaten records, could not find a breakthrough after 90 minutes in what was billed as a top-of-the-table clash.
DreamStar Ladies had won their opening three matches, while Rangers Women had claimed victories in their two games prior to the encounter.
In the other Group A fixture, C2E Sports Academy held Plateau Queens to a 2-2 draw.
Agnes Ohuche gave the Abia State-based side the lead in the 55th minute, but Juliana Abwo equalized for Plateau Queens in the 67th minute.
Abwo completed her brace four minutes later to put her team ahead, only for Ohuche to strike again in the 90th minute to rescue a point for C2E Sports Academy.
DreamStar Ladies with 10 points after four games clinched promotion ticket while Rangers Women can join them with positive result in their last match.
In Group B, Solo Wonders recorded the only victory of the matchday, defeating Rosaria Victrix 2-1.
A brace from Jessica Obinna in each half secured the win for the Akwa Ibom-based side, while Priscilla Oforhaihe netted a consolation goal for Rosaria Victrix.
Elsewhere, NAF Queens and Alexander Queens also shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Philippa Nomye scored twice for NAF Queens, while Mercy Francis and Ogochukwu Ozoani found the net for Alexander Queens to ensure both sides settled for a point apiece.
Ahead of the final Matchday, Solo Wonders top Group B log with seven points ahead of Rosaria Victrix with six. Alexander Queens amassed five points as NAF Queens have four while Sporting Angels is yet to register any point.
